Memories of Summer

The brunette grinned. The teenage standing beside her sighed, "what's up pesky girl?" She continued to grin, "It's the last day of the holidays!" Her arm then shot out and grabbed his arm. "What.." The word had barely escaped his mouth when he soon realised he was being dragged by this pesky girl.

"Let go of me, Blue!" He said. "Nope," Blue grinned at him. Green sighed and ran along with her as her arm had an iron tight grip on his arm. They were running past the shops on Virdian City.  Blue came to a halt and stopped at a shop. Green stared at it. "A photo developing shop?" He asked the girl.  Yup," Blue said as she skipped her way in. Green sighed and stuffed his hands in his pockets going in the shop.

The door made a chime as the duo walked in. "Hello, Ms,Blue!" An elderly man at the counter greeted Blue. "Hi Mr. Tawa!" She said, "is it done?" Excitement in her voice. Tawa? Green thought as he looked at the pictures pinned on the walls. People were grinning in all of them. Is it like Ta Wa, Green thought to himself, as he examined the pictures, the word was that has something to do with the past?

"Ah yes, it's completed," The elderly man smiled, "I will go and get it now." He then disappeared through the back door. "You seem to like that picture a lot." Blue observed. Green lost in his thoughts soon realised that he was looking at a couple feeding each other ice cream in a cafe. They both had grins plastered on their faces, Blue winked and nudged him. "That could be us in the future," She said teasingly. "Pesky girl ," Muttered Green.

"Aw don't be such a grump," Blue pouted, "Tomorrow is when school starts you know!" "Welcome to the present," Green said calmly. "It's the last day of the holidays, and you," Blue pointed at Green's chest, "have got to lighten up!" Green rolled his eyes. "I do not need to lighten up Blue," He said. The moment he said Mr,Tawa came In carrying what seemed like a heavy leather bound photo album.

"Here it is," He said putting it on the counter as he did so there was a loud, "bam!" When the album came in contact of the counter, "you sure wanted your money's worth Miss Blue, you sent us a rather large amount of pictures." Blue grinned as she took the album, "Not just pictures but memories. I want to keep track and keep them so I can review them in future!" "That's good," Mr,Tawa nodded smiling, "I wish most kids would follow your suit Ms.Blue. Have a nice day!"

"Thank you, we will!" Waved Blue and with the album tucked under her arm she grabbed Green and the duo walked out of the shop,

"Ok we picked up the album, can I go now?" Green asked with a hint of annoyance. "Pfft no. We are going to review this album!" Said Blue holding it up. "And if I say I don't want to..?" Green inquired with an eyebrow raised. "I will post the picture of you wearing that dress on the Internet," Said Blue, "Pink is so your colour." The stoic teenager felt himself blushed. One of those rare moments. "Fine," He said, "Let's review the album then, we'll go over to the park." Blue grinned and sped off. "Last one's a rotten egg!" She called out, Green sighed but ran catching up to her.

He was soon close enough to beat her, Blue carrying the heavy album couldn't go any faster and had to admit defeat. "If it wasn't for this I would've won!" Said Blue as she plopped down on a bench. "Yeah yeah," Said Green sitting down next to her a small smile dancing on the edge of his lips.

Blue opened up the cover and vibrant pictures decorated the page. "Oh remember this?" Said Blue pointing to the first picture, "Gold and Ruby's birthday party!" On the picture there was Gold holding his present up in the air with a look of triumph whereas Ruby was with Sapphire helping to cut his cake. In the background Crystal was face palming at Gold's action and everyone was smiling.

"Hmph.." Green said. Blue then looked at the second picture, "Oh look it's you!" True enough there was Green looking annoyed at Blue who had taken his notebook and was wagging her finger at him. "That was the day we all went to the beach," recalled Green. "Mm-hm~" Blue hummed and turned the page.

Soon they had reached the end, throughtout the past two hours they were pointing at pictures and recalling moments. "Well," Blue said closing the album, "that wasn't too bad." "I guess it wasn't," Green said as he stood up as the sun started to set. "See you around," The brunette grinned and gave him a hug. Green surprising himself returned the hug, "Bye,"

Around the same time the year after that..

"Look at all these memories!" Blue said as she hugged the album from last year where additional pictures were added to it. "We forgot one," Green said as they walked out of the shop. "What is it?" Blue asked curiously. Green took a picture out of his pocket. On it there were him and Blue sitting on the bench looking at the pictures in the park.

"Oh." Blue said eyes wide. Green took the album and inserted the picture into a slot next to a picture where all of their friends posed at an amusement park. "Remember last summer?" He asked her. Blue looked up at the sky, "Just like yesterday." "To the past, present and future right?" She said looking at him smiling as a breeze came making her hair flutter a bit.

He smiled, one of the rare moments, "Right." "Speaking of which, I'm not going to lose the race to the park this time!" She said racing off hugging the album to her chest. The teenager boy shook his head and went off to catch up with her as the breeze picked up again and the sun shining above.
